The Cuban Revolution became a communist revolution because of the influence of Ernesto Guevara, and, as you said, the Soviet Union.
Please show us your source of information.

One of my favourite guys from the revolution, Camilo Cienfuegos, was also not a communist. He died when his plane disappeared and is now a hero in Cuba. One does have to ask what the circumstances of that plane crash was though.
I've been told by Cubans that most Cubans think it wasn't an accident. I don't know if Che was directly involved though. Please go into some detail and say who pulled it off and why and give your sources. I'm a realist. If I see some credible information that tarnishes Che's image, I'll modify my opinion of him. There's a lot of propaganda out there and we have to figure out what's BS and what isn't.

Tell us your opinion of American imperialism.

I think that it is general knowledge for anyone who has actually done more than perfunctory research into the Cuban revolution, but... whatever.

I didn't say that Che was involved, or even that the rumours are true. But would you be surprised? I mean... that's modus operandi for that sort of government. Every government disappears people when it needs to.

Insidious, brutal, at times subtle, and always wrong.

That's it, he never graduated... he was only a medic. I've read the whole of 'Compaņero' by Jorge Castaņeda, no where in the book does it say he graduated, only that he served as a medic.

He DID in fact graduate.

quote:

"Upon returning to Argentina, he completed his studies and received his medical diploma on June 12, 1953."

from 'Che' himself:

"After graduation, due to special circumstances and perhaps also to my character, I began to travel throughout America, and I became acquainted with all of it."

This is pretty simplistic. If someone does research in a typical library in the US, he will probably end up thinking like that. Most mainstream information in the US is to keep people thinking inside the box. People who do research outside of the US will come to an entirely different conclusion.

ApolloHoax.net - The Lying American Press

I haven't been in the US since 95 but books like these two would never have been found in any library I'd visited up until then.

Amazon.com: The Washington Connection and Third World Fascism (The Political Economy of Human Rights - Volume I): Noam Chomsky,Edward Herman: Books

Amazon.com: Killing Hope: U.S. Military and CIA Interventions Since World War II-Updated Through 2003: William Blum: Books

As I said before there is propaganda on both sides so it's hard to figure out what the truth really is if you weren't there watching it. I try to find sources of information that are consistent with what people from the places discussed say.

This site has never failed me.

An alternative view to the mainstream media, Human rights; Social and economic justice; Foreign policy; Corporations; Media control, Travel in Africa, Asia and Latin America

Enter "Che", or "Cuba" in this search engine.
ht://Dig WWW Search

I think the articles will be pretty objective.

Be more specific about your sources. Were they all from libraries in the US?
