I have just read an article that gives hope that justice might be served with regards to the U.S.S. Liberty, this is good news indeed. If any of you know the story or are interested in the story the link follows. Also, it appears there maybe a renewed interest into this lost part of U.S. Naval history as witnessed by the number of sites that deal with this subject when searched.

Having a major media outlet (even one on the second tier, like the Trib) run a prominent story on this sad affair is definitely progress, however, IMHO it is not justice

A small measure of Justice will come when the Israeli government publicly acknowledges, on the Record, that the Liberty was attacked deliberately and with the full knowledge of the ship's Nationality right from the beginning of the attack. This is already highly improbable

A greater measure of Justice will come when sizeable compensation is paid by that government to the families of each of the 206 casualties. Given the well-documented history of Israeli government policy since that nation's founding seventy years ago, this will happen right around the time that pigs fly
