It says that our attitudes and beliefs have changed over time. You'll note that blacks are no longer second class citizens here. There's still racism, but most people who still are racist do their best to hide it. One of the richest people I know at school is black; his father is the top boss at an oil refining plant in Odessa. Fifty, sixty years ago, that would have been unimaginable.

It means that America can change, generally for the better.

Well, this Black man agrees with me.
Do you have a link, leviathon435?

That's one good thing the USSR did; abolish private ownership of slaves. Stalin seemed to consider state ownership of slaves good, though.

Just another attempt to bash America. **** you too.
Yep.

It does not matter if they were racist. It was common for the time period. Nothing wrong about the founders based on that.

They saw no problem with that issue.

There isnt a country on this earth that hasn't had slavery at one time or another. Why are you pointing to our ancient sins when Im sure were ever your from has at least as many.

I am interested in American history. What do other countries have to do with it?

Well, maybe it's not a sin. It was natural and normal. correct?
So when did it become not normal and why?

Maybe the fact that you're trying to single out America as being evil while ignoring the evils of your own country.

Because viewpoints changed. Like they always do. Duh.

I dont believe you alaska.

I think you are lambasting our history for very specific personal reasons.

The reason I brought up other countries is to show that no one is free from the stain of slavery.

Well, Phædrus and mwillman ran out of anything logical to say and they turned a conversation to a discussion of a poster.
This is so typical of Americans.....

New Governor Of Alaska:
What point are you trying to make with this thread?
It was a time of slave owners and that was normal. It is probable they were. What does that matter? That does not make them bad.

This is so typical of a troll.

We pointed out that slavery in our past doesn't matter because we changed it, and that that was commonplace back then. We also voiced disgust with you because it was obvious you're just trying to find another excuse to bash America.

Any one of your posts or threads taken by itself in incongruous. All of them taken together add up to you deliberately trying to bait people.
