No, you are just ignorant on this topic and projecting. I even held your hand and directed you toward information, and you still don't get it.

The conspiracy is the absurd and erroneous belief that a total of 380 ppm Carbon Dioxide and an increase of 20 ppm (presumably by Man) can even have any effect of the temperature of the earth..

It cannot even be duplicated in a test atmosphere!!

..and why do they so want to believe? For political gain.. for power..

and they have you lock, stock and barrel....

You're right: I do reject the primacy and validity of science and I reject it because it is really the application of specific philosophies or world views (naturalism, rationalism, empiricism) with which I don't necessarily agree. Further, since appeals to authority are logical fallacies, appealing to science as the ulitmate authority is the ultimate logical fallacy.

"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

"I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up."

The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.

"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."

Antarctica may have been warmer in the past (Fossil Suggests Antarctica Much Warmer in Past - Yahoo! News, Antarctic fossils paint a picture of a much warmer continent and Antarctic Fossils Paint Picture Of Much Warmer Continent)- further suggesting that it isn't man-made global warming that is supposedly causing Antarctica to melt away (Green Left - Features: Antarctic meltdown: can we stop it in time?).

I posted links to studies which showed that the poles are indeed melting. Blogs don't contradict that.

Where were these posted? There has been some thawing of the North Pole since the last Ice Age but this is cyclic.. and certainly in the winter for both poles there is no thawing.

And even if the poles are melting, there is evidence that the entire planet was warmer in the distant past and there's even a possibility that there were no poles (at least not as land masses or ice) in the distant past.

...and we know that the earth is warmer now than during the most recent Ice Age..

and we know that at one time in the past, Greenland was actually green with trees and forests.. and civilizations rose up on that land mass.

Wikimedia Error

So the idea that there is some melting of the poles is not a novel thing. and certainly JUST because it happens is not PROOF that man caused it.

The point, of course, being that all this global warming nonsense is just hype meant to scare people into behaving the way certain governments and environmental lobbyists want them to. Just because the planet may be warming (as it does from time to time following a cooling period) doesn't mean man is causing it or that it is something we should be trying to prevent.
