As for commentary from scientists and engineers, it appears that they - like Donkey Jote - have simply chosen to dismiss it out of hand without bothering to go to the damned company lab and seeing it.

A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air. "Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. "I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up." The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation. "Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves." |

Well, if the reaction is exothermic you could theoretically get energy from it...

But you have to put energy into the reactions to synthesize the reactants. It takes energy to hydrolyze water in O2 and H2, and I don't think NaH occurs naturally very often either. The question is, does the amount of energy you get from the BlackLight reaction counterbalance the amount of energy you put into obtaining the reactants?

Yes, but not all of that energy is useable. Remember the laws of thermodynamics. Entropy increases towards a maximum. Nothing has 100% efficiency. Energy will always be lost in the form of randomized heat.

Of everything I have posted here about alternative energy, I am much more impressed with the potential for immediate use of the vortex engine. And that is because traditional power plants already have cooling towers, and all you would have to do is retrofit a cooling tower to substantially increase the output of energy of a traditional power plant. That's do-able and a win-win situation for industry and consumers (lowering costs).

Or you could put a modified wind turbines on the sides of every skyscraper in the country. Think about it: those tall buildings generate tremendous downdrafts. If you could harness a tenth of that wind energy, you could generate a quarter of the office building's electrical requirements.
