The car to me sounds like a good idea but it has its side effects. You can only drive up to 50 to 60 miles per day. So, if you want to take family road trip what are you going to do. I think they should make solar panel cars and in the night make something that you can actually drive around without worrying how many hours you have to drive before your cars stops. And this
gas thing, buying gas from the same place we are getting killed and bombed. Maube someone can invent something where your solar panel in the day and the night your battery powered enough to lasT. |

Check out the thread about the Tesla electric hybrid getting 220 mpg with new battery (nano) technology. They will be making a Prius like hybrid family car in the near future. They will also be making a all electric plug in alternative for the same model.
In other developments, a system for using acceleration to generate electricity is being developed. If you add this to a hybrid that generates electricity from braking, you migh substantially increase the range of a car between recharges. |

Republicans designed a strategy to shift the blame on Democratsa for the high price of gas by focusing on Alaska and offshore drilling. When you look at the stats of the oil they are willing to go after, it would be an approximate equivalent of one year of gas in America and it would most likely require several years to develop. So it really isn't the answer to the price of oil and gas.
We need to jump on the new breakthrough of biofuel from algae. If mass produced, that would make a huge difference. |

Baloney. ANWR and offshore oil offer decades of energy independence. The only thing delaying its exploitation are regulators and environmentalist lawsuits. Otherwise 18 months, tops. In contrast your algae concept is woefully inadequate, inefficient and decades into the future.
