Nope I pay for that in the form of taxes. I do not owe what I pay for. It is like saying I owe Apple for my IPOD, I don't I traded for it. I owe society no more than society owes me. I do owe my family and friends though, especially my parents who paid for my ***.

The resources don't belong to "society," they belong to individuals. Society exists solely for the benefit of the individual and not the other way around.

You're confusing "society" with "state", a society is a group of humans and humans have always needed to live in a group to survive. So in fact what you owe to society has little to do with what it does for you but more to do with a collective responsibility in that we all live in a society and if we all did nothing for it would collapse.

You are correct about the state society thing, I mis-used the terms.

Either way I owe nothing to either though, as society owes nothing to anyone else. It is just a group of individuals interacting. We do not "need" to be in a group to live, that just makes thing easier. No one individual owes anything to society and society owes nothing to an individual.

Actually it's due to all those farting cows so you could just as easily blame meat-eaters who support the beef industry.
