Very good point southern man... very good point...

And kinda like how we are making pennies and nickles these days. It takes more money to make the coins than the coins are actually worth. But make them we do.

Doesn't make sense to me... does it to you?

Do you have a website that explains all three? Be nice to see. Thanks.

The question is, do you have the guts to try?!
Unplug from the grid is one thing, driving an electric car something else again. there are some electric cars that won't cost you 6 figures. Granted they don't look like the Tesla or accellerate like the Tesla or last as long on a charge as a Tesla ....

but it does go... albeit slowly and for short distances.

Depends on what you want to talk about. Ig you want to discuss the feasibility of Algae generated biofuel, it would be convenient for discussion to be on an Algae biofuel thread or even merge the threads. A discussion of what new breakthrough is the best direction, that could be a new thread.

Algae biofuel sounds, on the surface, to be a breakthrough. Let me read the information you gave me and then I'd love to discuss it with you and anyone else that cares to venture into the waters.

The issue with algae biofuel and hydrogen so far is cost. However, costs come down fast with mass production. GM came out with a prototype hydrogen SUV. It was very impressive until they told us that it cost $100,000.

There are also threads here I posted on hydrogen. There are several companies around the world competing on a new way to generate hydrogen. It is based on simple chemical reaction using water, aluminum rods or pellets and one of several different choices of pellets, such as galladium. The concept is that you generate hydrogen at our site of operation. In other words, you could set yourself up to generate hydrogen at home. I have yet to see the price on this operation. Galladium and other elements in use are somewhat rare and expensive. You might also need to have the means to fuel celling your hydrogen at home to set up your own independent operation.
