Sort of like these ethanol plants?

I wouldn't call a power plant that consumes more power than it produces actually working (as a power plant). But perhaps that's just me.

Please do not stereotype ethanol by CORN ethanol monopolized by the billionaire Agri Corps. Biofuel generated from Algae is different. Ethanol generated by cellulose (switch grass) is different.

They are selling those six figure cars to generate revenue. It is expensive to design and built a cheap economical vehicle, more so one that is good looking and actually has some sort of power.

Well, my neighbor and ex Biker bad guy with a high IQ was energy independent in the mid 90's onward. He created his own solar panels and 3 wheeled Harley run on plug in electricity. He unplugged from the electricity grid and the gas pump. So it isn't impossible, because it has been done already.

The question is, do you have the guts to try?!

For me it is not really a matter of guts to try it is a matter of my rental company getting really pissed when I mount solar panels on the roof ;)

Actually there are a group of hotels/apartments right across the street from me that utilize solar panels. I doubt they create all the energy but they sure as hell make a dent in it.

It is just you. The reaction is taking place; therefore it is a working fusion plant.

If all you have to add is mockery, why don't you leave the thread?

I guess from the Democrat perspective, spinning in circles doing nothing but consuming is work. So I see your point.

So tell me, how will you power your car with this thing?

I am sure development and sales of the 50k and 30k cars will depend on how many of the roadsters they sell and how the venture capital is looking. I really do think that going towards electric cars is one of the best ideas to come around. And with companies building a car that accelerates similar to a Corvette C6 there is even less reason not to own one.

We are a very vain country. If a company starts building an electric car that is sexy then more people will pick it up. It is hard to look cool in a Prius.

Especially if you could get it to recharge itself on the run... that would be ideal... but I'd settle for a solar charger at home.

0-60 in four seconds is amazing... without sound is mind boggling... it's definitely sexy enough to enthuse even the stodgiest of mundane drivers.

None of which post here, of course......
