You hopefully do realize that looking outside your window or at your local neighborhood aren't necessarily valid samples or representations of climatological trends, right? Right? Hope so.
I saw some idiot's article in the paper yesterday who made the same argument. "Lolz, it's cold here, therefore, Global Warming isn't real Lolz." Quite frankly, that's a retarded argument. |

A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air. "Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. "I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up." The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation. "Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves." |

Um, no, there actually has been warming, and only variable local temperature fluctuations. On the whole, the Earth is warming, albeit slowly. It's a myth it's been cooling overall and not warming. No credible scientific agencies have reported otherwise.

Edit: The whole thing about 1970s scientists talking about an ice-age is overblow. It was taken out of context by the media, which hyped it, even when most scientists were skeptical of it. Additionally, the models used were far more primitive then than they now are, and the data then did show a slight cooling trend, but that wasn't considering the impact of greenhouse gases negating the cooling effects of other chemicals.

Uh, yeah, you too. The 11 warmest years in this set have all occurred within the last 13 years.

http://www.greatglobalwarmingswindle...0corrected.pdf The whole report is very interesting but specific to the lack of warming since 1998, refer to the end of page 66 and through page 67. Also see: http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/s...-27197,00.html clip: The salient facts are these. First, the accepted global average temperature statistics used by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change show that no ground-based warming has occurred since 1998. |

Um, no, there has been warming. "The Great Global Warming Swindle" has swindled you, since it's a known bogus source with dishonest rhetorical tactics. It's been refuted and picked apart already. You're late in the game here. It's like using answersingenesis to refute evolution. It's claims are old hat about as much as "thermodynamics refutes evolution." Its just plain wrong.
The editor also cut up several of the scientists statements to make them say just the opposite of what they were saying, which is why they complained afterward. |
