Largely, "hearsay"....and we know how accurate "humans" can be. I think it's all a combination of direct experience, wisdom or common sense, and "faith", especially in a "force" or "deity" or power "greater than yourself"....because, let's face it...you don't know how many hairs are on your head, let alone how you wake yourself up in the morning, or how your body heals itself. It ain't you! You can believe otherwise....but what remains is, "it ain't you". "The Lord works in mysterious ways, His wonders to unfold." How does he do it, I can't tell you...but if you've ever witnessed Nature, the Sun, the Ocean, animals, plants, the seasons, physics, mathematics....then you have to believe in God. Simple. And if you have a lick of common sense, then you have to be aware of "global warming"...if not, we know what's up. |

If what you say is true, then Adam & Eve weren't the first people. Just sayin'. . . . And how can a member of the human race be a "subset" of that race? Are you saying in chapter one god created Homo sapiens sapiens, and then in chapter 2 god created Homo sapiens adamnevenus?

Actually, the more I study the natural rhythms of the universe, the more convinced I'm becoming that a watchmaker is not needed. In fact, most scientists agree with me. I believe that I've that something like 93% of scientists are atheists.

I have witnessed all of that. I would think most people have. No reason to believe in God there, especially physics and mathematics. Is it possible there is a God? Ya. Is there a God? Maybe. Is it possible that there is not God? Definitely.

Who are these "other" humans created before Adam & Eve? And why do literalists then cling to the "fact" that Adam & Eve were the first humans? You're saying the earth was already populated with people before Adam & Eve, which flies in the face of most theological arguments.

You and I are both "subsets" of the human race. Just like Silverados are subsets of Chevy trucks, and chevy is a subset of GM. Its a simple scientific term. Like normal. :azn: |

I have no idea who they were. Unnamed masses. I'm not a theologian, so am unencumbered by standard teachings. I just read the Bible at face value, and find things that are written in there that dispute "common knowledge". Just like the 13 commandments. (Or maybe its 12). |

Sometimes I feel like Maoist re-education camps might be good for this country. If we can't sway the Creationists themselves, maybe abducting their children and teaching them the right things would work.
In any case, this topic is about GLOBAL WARMING. Not EVOLUTION. I won't debate with those who reject science. I find it incredibly ignorant and retarded. Anyone who wants to talk about this guy "changing his mind" about the global warming myth with me is welcome to do so.
