Mother Nature's Letter to Al Gore
By Phil Brennan - 5 Dec 07 _____________________________ . Dear Mr. Gore: Keeping things on an even keel around here keeps me pretty busy and I ordinarily don't pay any attention to the comings and goings of individual tenants on my planet, but lately your frenzied activities with all this silly global warming stuff has gotten just a bit much for me to ignore. I'm vastly amused, and not a little bit annoyed, over your ludicrous attempts to fiddle around with CO2 levels through international regulations ruinous to the global economy in the hopes that the alleged heating of the planet can be stopped in its tracks. Listen Buster, if I got it into my head to raise the earth's thermostat to broil, which is not the case, there's not single thing you puny little politicians could do about it. Keep in mind, it's not you, all those scientists riding the grant-laden global warming gravy train or your precious little U.N. that's in charge of climate - I am! This notion that mankind can be forced to reduce atmospheric levels of CO2 by reducing its carbon footprint - I love these disingenuous terms you invent to bolster your shabby case - is sheer nonsense, based as it is on the false notion that human activities are mainly responsible for the buildup of the greenhouse gas CO2 in the atmosphere. You insist that the arctic regions are getting warmer all the time. And that polar ice and the snow pack is melting. You ignore the fact that last August when the Russians planted their flag at the bottom of the arctic ocean at the North Pole, they had to use a nuclear powered ice breaker to get there. In August! As I write this much of the northern hemisphere is being assaulted by bitterly cold and often sub zero weather and deep snowfall, (yet winter has not yet even officially begun). Do you ever ask yourself if the polar regions are getting warmer, how can they produce and deepen the frigid snow packs that continue to send such cold air southward? As Dr. William Gray of Colorado State University has noted, "after rising steadily in the early 20th century, in 1940 the temperature suddenly levels off - no, it goes down. For the next 35 years! If the planet is getting steadily warmer because of Industrial age greenhouse gases, why did it get cooler when industries began belching out carbon dioxide at full tilt at the start of World War II?" And that's not all. According to Meteorologist Joe D’Aleo the Southern Hemisphere (Antarctica) has quietly set a new record for most ice extent since 1979. The Southern Hemispheric areal coverage is the highest in the satellite record, just beating out 1995, 2001, 2005 and 2006. Since 1979, the trend has been up for the total Antarctic ice extent. He explains that while the Antarctic Peninsula area has warmed in recent years and ice near it diminished during the Southern Hemisphere summer, the interior of Antarctica has been colder and ice elsewhere has been more extensive and longer lasting, which explains the increase in total extent. I would expect that all of these inconvenient truths would make some impression on you and convince you that you are badly mistaken, but sadly, you have already shown that you reject things that contradict your political goals. Sincerely, Mother Nature See entire letter by Phil Brennan (it’s worth your time to read the whole letter): http://www.newsmax.com/brennan/

Some stupid idiot really takes less then a few hundred years with the surface records seriously? Wow, I must say that is not to smart. In most of the world record is less then a tard sailing down the river to worthless for more then 40 years. Records of the tropics and tropical cyclones to defang the new tropic report, is next to worthless, knowing the fact that more tropical cyclones can be found and advisories can be onto them since the satellite age. The satellite records show no warming what so ever, and Antarctic has cooled by nearly a degrees over the last 10 years, with the largest amount of sea ice around it. In fact the Antarctic station was covered and destroyed by snow and ice. This station had to be rebuilt and the new one is being threaten to be destroyed. Parts of south America has just had its coldest winter in 90 years. Some cities on the east coast have had a lot of snow, with records going back 50-70 years being broke.
The little ice age happen because of a low level of sun spots during a period from the 14th to 18th century. 1995-2005 had the highest level of sun spots in the last 2,000 years. Now we are going into a period of lower sun spot. Watch for a overall cooling of our planet as less solar energy reaches the planet. Trusting the surface data while at the same time we have a strong solar energy and ice core data showing that the dark ages were much warmer then today. Is nothing short of stupid. Greenland has also been cooling. But yes the Arctic has warmed up, mainly because of the storm tracking bringing in warm air, and sea currents. NAO is part of it. Most of the world is in a warm period of that to. What is even more dumb is that could turn around very fast. In we could be caught with our pants down, when we head into a cooler period. That is why I support nuclear energy. It is the best and most effective way to make sure we can sail through this. Really to tell you the truth. I'm scared we don't know enough to make a good judgement.

Allow me to put this very simple, Gaia doesnt care if we live or die, she will live on no matter what we do, her last tenants the dinosours were kicked out and replaced with us, and she can do so again, and as I said once she doesnt care about little us, if we choose to make this place unliveble for ourself, that our problem.
And that is why we need to do something about the polution, to save ourself and our future generations, nature will suvive just fine with or without us |

How about you care to DEBATE The evidence, instead of calling people idiots? Can you disprove what we are saying? Mind we are weather geeks, we know our stuff.

![]() Here is a chart that just came out. It shows that our planet is now cooling off and now -.1c cooler,. First time below avg global temps for this month since 2000. That is something. ![]() The late 80s and early 90s were very warm years for the southern Half of our planet. Also some of the northern ones to that got beat only in the later 90s and 2000s. See how broad based the new one is, it will likely have a longer period of less energy and a weaker max. Which means cooler earth.

I am as confused as when the conservatives kept changing the justifications for the war. When i was young they said it wasn't happening ,just us treehuggers trying to scare people)
Then it was happening but it wasn't our fault. Now are we back to it not happening at all again? Please tell me, we still believe the earth is round right? I think you can argue till your purple but the fact remains that mass consumption is bad for so many reasons that either way something must be done.

I must admit that I am not as knowledgeable about this as i should be but i tend to side with the 90% of scientist who say that mankind as definetly added to this issue.
considering that the main goal of these people is to prove each other wrong.
