God gave us the earth, nothing we can do could possibly affect it.

So we should do nothing till we have a better plan?
China is already a worse polluter then the US they have all our factory's there now and lots of cars now.

Kyoto was lacking and did target the US but oh WELL

I think that the idea that doing nothing is better then to little is well.. dumb.

Actually, it's a journey of a thousand li (one third of a mile).

And anyway, Kyoto was a pledge by many nations to reduce emissions, not some sort of legislation. It had signatories, and whoever signed had to abide by the treaty and reduce emissions...I don't know where you guys get your facts...

Well all things are relative its the obvious effect that it would have on the US that people refer to.
A metaphor
Get two people together one a millionaire and one a poor working class person.
tell them both they are not allowed To spend more then 2000$ a day who do you think that is going to effect more?

Millionaires don't spend their money, they invest it. And who cares if it affected us more? That's what progressivism is...we're contributing the most to the problem, so why not have us affected the most?
