I don't blame these voters and I say good for them. No voter should be disenfranchised and no voter should be made to stand in line for hours on end because of broken machines. I watched the video and after seeing the the blase attitude of Philadelphia's Election Commissioner towards voter disenfranchisement and huge lines, it was like watching the news from some third world country, not our Democratic Republic.
Because of the breakdown of the voting machines in the past, I agree with the plaintiffs' demand that paper ballots be made accessible to speed up the process in case machines break down again. (Actually I believe paper ballots should be made available to all voters everywhere, but that's been covered in other threads.)

Earlier this week, ANP reported that, come November, Pennsylvania voters could face substantial delays at the polls. We spoke with the man running the election in Philadelphia, who scoffed at long lines and tales of lost votes. Now, voters are suing the state of Pennsylvania. With the help of Voter Action and the NAACP, they filed a complaint this morning in Philadelphia federal court, specifically citing an interview between the American News Project and Philadelphia Deputy City Commissioner Fred Voigt. Here's an update and more of our interview with Voigt.
