Buckle up children your dreams are about to be washed away like all nightmares the republicans are about to be banished to history.
Surely a Walt Whitman fan (your sig) understands that real thinking is debated? Much less defended? I mean just tap it out with your left foot, a spasmodic pattern upon the floor if you think your comments and “intellectual honesty” in this thread put you within 1,000 light years of even grasping Whitman? You don’t agree? Hey here is another question that is sure to cause only more bold brain shrinkage.

How so?

I predict you have no intelligent answer. Likewise I predict you have an answer none the less.

Those statements in no way, real or imagined, addressed any of the comments made in my post. You suck at this "discussion" thing. Let me diagram how it's supposed to work:

Joe: Taxes are too high.
Jane: I disagree, and here is why I disagree.
Joe: Hm, but you have overlooked factor A.
Jane: Your comment overlooks.......

See how this works? You say something, we comment, you comment, etc. Instead, this discussion is moving in this direction:

Joe: Taxes are too high.
Jane: COOKIES!!!!

Grow a brain, don't be a Jane.

This has been a public service announcement from LOAJO (League of Anti-Jerk Offs).

Sounds like a Rove talking point, so now all the McCain supporters are going after Obama for being a socialist. So he is a socialist in contrast to whom? Wasn't it McCain that said he wanted a super agency created for the federal government to get involved directly in re negotiating and restructuring loans with the customers that are in process of default. In other words, creating an agency bigger than and added to Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac.

Sounds like socialism to me. I think restructuring loans should happen and that is step number one and a priority. However, banks need to do what Bank of America is doing, initiating this action THEMSELVES. That is the difference between free market capitalism and what McCain is proposing, growing government even bigger with an even bigger government intervention into the market.

Bailing out banks and corporations is another type of socialism. It is essentially a double standard to raise issues when taxpayers foot the bill for social programs or benefits programs but give a total pass to taxpayers footing the bill for a bank / corporation bail out. The former is stealing from the rich to give to the poor Robin Hood, and the latter is stealing from the poor and middle class to give to the rich Robin Hood evil twin. It is socialism both ways.

Michael, You and I don't see eye to on a lot.. but this is something we agree on. So would Chan, Space and Bone.. Both Obama and McCain have Socialist traits.

Yet nobody has made a topic about McCain and his policies. Thus you do not see us saying anything.

I have no answer that selfish right wingers will ever understand But.

Heres my answer we are all in this together and as long as a few try to hold and control it all and use the concept of private property to justify it then the masses get screwed.

I dont support greed and that is what has brought about the economic distress we are in.

Your continuous use of the term socialist make me have no respect for your opinions because you just don't get it. Its not about socialism its about a fair and somewhat free market that allows for innovation and the collection of wealth without allowing a small few to control it all.

When i see more then selfish greed in your arguments then I will give them more respect.

It's not a problem for deadbeats out there that leach off the system. Personally, I feel everyone should pay the same amount in taxes so that it is fair across the board.

Buckle up and thake a ride on the Obama socialist train. Dreams washed away by the radical left in this country, who want everyone to be equal. Don't forget that we are all born equal, but what we make of our lives is our choice.

"Republicans are about to be banished to history."...wishfull thinking from a staunch Obamite. Then again, if you want only ONE party (socialist democrats) running this country, then keep wishing.

What is the difference. Both are going to take from me and give to others.

That is the problem I have with each one. Instead of protecting rights and property, which was the original, stated purpose of our government, the Democrats and Republicans have transformed our government into a huge wealth redistribution scheme without accountability and without the people's say. It's time for a REAL change, and I don't mean Obama's ideas for redistribution.
