Unsurprisingly, Barack Obama has received several endorsements recently from major newspapers: among them, the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post. However, John McCain has now snagged an important endorsement in the battleground state of Florida.
Here is a link to a brief CNN article on Sen. McCain's endorsement by The Tampa Tribune: CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time - Blogs from CNN.com As the article notes, Sen. Obama received a split-decision endorsement from the Philadelphia Inquirer. Newspaper endorsements in Florida and Pennsylvania are far more consequential than similar endorsements in Illinois, California, and DC--which are hardly up for grabs. |
