Too true - it didn't happen overnight and both parties were involved. The system itself is corrupt and encourages corruption.
That said - repubs had total control of the govt for 6 years - and I can't think of one thing they improved - but I know a whole lot of crap going down. So, once again - why would i vote for more of the same? Is there a viable 3rd party option? Not for me - let's get the foxes out of the chicken house and then start worrying if we replaced them with coyotes.
Please tell me one important policy McCain has said he will actually change - other then now being for more regulation and spending taxpayer money to bail out businesses. He voted with Bush 90% of the time - and hasn't said anything about changing that. Hoping he changes because he is suiting his rhetoric to the prevailing wind is not enough for me.
