Rectus! Dominus!

Hello Freedomphiles! So, Danny Funderburk, mayor of Fort Mill, South Carolina, received the following email:

According to the Book of Revelations the anti-christ is: The anti-christ will be a man, in his 40s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuassive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal.... the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destory everything. Is it OBAMA??

Now, when I receive emails like this, I scratch my head, laugh, and send it to the recycle bin. When I get an email like this from one of those people who are constantly sending me bull**** urban legends, I will hit "Reply to All" and send a link to the Snopes article debunking it.

(In case you are curious, there are no passages saying that the anti-Christ will be of Muslim ancestry or in his mid-40's.)

Instead, the mayor forwarded the email to a whole bunch of other people, claiming later that he was "just curious if there was any validity to it," further asserting that "I was trying to get documentation if there was any scripture to back it up."

Unfortunately, the subject line was blank and he added nothing to the email, such as "Anyone know if this is true?"

Busted!

Geez...speculation about who is this "anti-Christ character" is sure getting a lot of mileage.

Ya... bush is a bad president, but far from anything that could be considered an anti-christ. It is ridiculous.

Well I don't think he is the antichrist either but then again I'm not so sure I believe in christ so I don't know how I could believe in his anti. Just thought I would throw in a similarly assinine article to the one posted by someone else.
