What was McCain's wife?

It was John McCain, the Senator who was part of the Keating 5. It was John McCain who was friends with Charles Keating, who flew on Keating's jet to the Bahamas. Charles Keating was a long time friend and associate of John McCain. What did Cindy McCain have to do with anything? It was Senator McCain who tried to get the heat off Keatings S&L. It was McCain who intervened and tried to convince several Senators to get the regulators to stop investigating. It was John McCain who got reprimanded by the ethics committee. He wasn't found innocent. He just wasn't charged with a major offense.

He was acutely found to have used "poor judgment" (not guilty by reason of stupidity).

This is different from the S&L in the since of what is wrong and what we will do.
