Can't be accomplished unless they can be election. Ballot access is required.

Actually, libertarians have much experience. However, we must waste valuable resources retaining ballot access year after year. As a member of my state executive committee, I can attest that those costs are in excess of 50k annually. You are discussing a topic in which you are ill-informed though no fault of your own. If you desire to learn, I'll be willing to teach.
That said....and as I have previously stated....in order for 'the party' to become 'credible' or what I would state as 'competitive' the party must retain ballot access
and the party must acquire representation at the STATE level. Not Congress....not the President. However, those offices hold a key to ballot access so you must run them anyway.
'Party' funds are
not utilized in these races (per our bylaws). Therefore, they are not a 'waste of time, money or effort' as they retain our ballot access.
Now....if you REALLY want to discuss how to make the party more 'competitive' let me know. I am available. However, your hand-wringing fear of the Obama 'marxist' factor is illogical and self destructive. Desiring one form of despotism over another is counter productive.
I KNOW you took a principled stance. I KNOW you have it within you. I KNOW you can see the destruction of the republic before your eyes. Trading 'marxism' for 'fascism' is not the answer.
In the end you must decide if you will be part of the solution, or part of the problem. That choice is ultimately yours to make. I can only hope you make the right decision.
