Default Novak: 'Reprehensible' if McCain faked VP announcement

To me the shocker here is that Novak isn't in McCain's back pocket - there is no joy in Mudville!

Novak: 'Reprehensible' if McCain faked VP announcement
Published: Tuesday July 22, 2008

Columnist Robert Novak tells Fox News that he suspects that might have been used as a pawn to steal publicity from Senator Obama after airing a rumor that Senator McCain planned to shortly announce his vice presidential pick.

"I had a suggestion from a very senior McCain aide late yesterday afternoon that he was going to announce it this week," Novak told Fox News' Martha MacCallum. "They suggested that I put it out."

"I since have been told by certain people that this was a dodge," Novak lamented. "They were trying to get a little publicity to rain on Obama's campaign. That's pretty reprehensible, if it's true."

Hey, Jojo! Did you hear about Novakula running down a 66-year-old man today? Factual information. He tried to leave the scene, too, but a bike rider stopped him.

Piece of garbage...

saw that too - he claims he didnt see him, when witness say he splattered on the windshield. of course whats even stranger is that he apparently drives a corvette? i would thought a big, dark sedan

as for the vp comment, even if you hate mccain you gotta feel a bit sorry for him. i mean come on, obama is getting all the attention, even out of the country and europeans are fawning all over him.

mccain lands, gets off his plane expecting a press corps and what does he see? one forlorn reporter!

Yup, and he's forlorn because he wasn't allowed to cover Obama....
