Default The Death Penalty

What does everyone think on the death penalty? I personally feel it is a necessary evil as otherwise the prisons would be over crowded with dangerous criminals.

It seems like even lethal injection isn't humane anymore.

NC has put a moratorium on it due to the issue of doctor(s) needing to be present at the execution (at least I think I've read it correctly there in the news reports) that...that is why a moratorium is in place currently.

After a while...one has to wonder...just let the general prison population "take care" of their own.

i agree with you. if you look at russia they have almost no crime rate there in that when someone goes to jail they are put in a 8x8 cell with 25 other people. in that country you don't want to go to jail here people who are poor or in need of somewhere to live comit crimes to go to jail so that they have somewhere to live and three meals a day. am i the only one that find this to be completely rediculous.

Thanks ICT, I was heading for the same info. Look at the Arab nations at the bottom. Steal, lose a hand, kill, lose a head.

Compare life in a ghetto to life in prison. Ghetto, no medical care. Prisons have their own doctors. Ghetto, food stamps that run out every month, prison, 3 squares a day. Why not do the crime since the time ain't so bad, comparatively.

But neither am I a proponent of the death penalty. Countless years of appeals leave the crime unpunished. I advocate locking the muderous SOB's up in a 10x10 cell, 23 hours a day, with pictures of their victims constantly projected on their walls and ceiling for all eternity. With a loud ticking clock.

if that was the alternative to the death penalty i would go with that.

Or like I said earlier...

...let the general prison population "take care" of their own.

ya i can say ok to that. you should all know who Scott Perterson is right. the guy that was found guilty of killing his wife and unborn child. they had to put him in a speacial jail because aperently even the people in jail don't like it when someone kills unborn children. i thought that was hilllarious.

I think all the sicko's that kill there children and rape other people should be lined up against the wall in shot. IMO...

I tihnk it is a good idea, because if people think they can get off easly for doing things. Then our nation and everything will go to hell with people thinking they can get away with anything. We can't allow that and life in a half way peace.
