I was really talking about the faith healer family.

I understand your reservations and to be honest I don't know
where I stand on it over all.

I am a believer in science but I also know how much science still has to learn.
and how much science is influenced by the all mighty dollar.

Let me pose a question.

If a child decides that it does not want to eat anymore and the family, because of faith, decides that God will provide and does nothing about it and the kid starves to death... would you be claiming that this was not a case of neglect?

So killing your kids through negligent parenting should be legal? As well as obstructing public health to endanger others?

This was the post I was referring to, not the one that appeared before I posted mine.

Allowing a minor to starve is criminal neglect.

So, if allowing a child to starve when there is food available is criminal neglect, why wouldn't allowing a child to die when there are medical options that can save his life not criminal neglect?

Not against people choosing to smoke either.

Doublethink. Thats why. People don't fully understand medicine. They treat it as if it is different and mystical, thus it justifies their superstition and ignorance.

To me there is a difference between not vaccinating preemptively and refusing to treat.

I agree with that. If you do not vaccinate and you take measures to reduce exposure to or from yourself, then it is not that big of a deal.
