They probably screen huge numbers by computer that shows matches on key words. But what assurance do we have that, for example, Bush won't do a massive Watergate with all Democrats under surveillance in order to gain advantages in elections? There is no oversight to make sure that doesn't happen.

I'm not against the surveillance we need against terrorists, but they need to go to the FISA court for warrants.

You can have both once the people of this country stand up for themselves and demand things happen. If people felt more connected to this country they would do a lot more to protect it rather than saying "Oh well the guy down the street will take care of it, or the government will come up with an answer" We are all responsible for the world we live in. You cant blame Bush, you cant blame Cheney, you can only blame your self. We all have the power to make a difference. No matter how small it is, just talking to someone, raising awareness. We are entering a state of affairs where more people care about what the sad sack of bones Brittney Spears is doing or whatever dumbass blond is doing at the moment. That is the problem.

The government is already working on other projects that will expand their ability to monitor the public. If anyone cares to learn about it, I can produce solid articles from reputable sites, not some nut job conspiracy site.

If our government feels it necessary to shut down our liberties and wiretap their own people without a warrant then this country needs to convert to 1940s Germany and start waving Nazi flags in the air.

So sad.

He has the right and responsibility to defend this country. He does not have the right or authority to do it by blatantly violating and ignoring the U.S. Constitution that gave him the right to be president in the first place.
