Obama's ex-pastor delivers spirited speech to NAACP - CNN.com Once again, he spoke only "truth to power". I have never heard him say a disparaging word, that didn't smack of the truth. "The truth", is merely just hard for "some" to hear. |

The reason and only reason I agree with Wright is that he speaks "truth"...he is a man of God, how could he not, and expect folks to follow him? You, obviously, did not watch the video of him speaking at the event (available at the link I provided). The man is far from ignorant. He spoke the truth, and he was clever and humorous. The audience responded by giving him a standing ovation. I guess from your inference you're also impuning the people attending the NAACP dinner rally, as well, as ignorant, and race mongers. I'm sure if they knew of you, as I do, they would laugh, like me. |

In answer to your question...I most certainly do. I found him to be "right on time", and witty and clever, in his commentary, contrasting to the "skewed view most Americans have of him via the soundbites which have painted a false picture of the man. |

The Black in this video ranks down there with the white fundamentalist minister Rev Phelps. He is the one that shows up at the funerals of soldiers killed in the mideast with his followers holding picket signs called the deceased soldiers the "F" gay word. Both examples are "disturbing the peace." The difference is the woman was in a public place and could have walked by. She had a choice. Phelps has been invading private funerals on mortuary grounds (private). We had the article posted here about the man with an anti war T-Shirt that looked like blood had been smeared on it. He was asked to leave or turn the T-Shirt inside out. He refused and was arrested for criminal trespass. This needs to be applied toward Phelps.
Grouch, your sources on this give away your political affiliation. You can list a few extremist black groups and pretend this is more than a few hundred people in a nation of about 320 million. That is less than one percent of all African Americans.

You're spot on Michael, a fringe black racist group no one's ever heard of is as insignificant as Rev Phelps's white fringe wacked out religious beliefs.
IMHO white people who pretend black racist groups, like this one, are of any significance to race relations are racists themselves. |
