Yeh, I understand all that "natural" stuff but the "commentary" in the OP was nothing but an uneducated hate speech. Apparently homosexuality was only "discovered" in the 1960's, now I know Queen Victoria refused to believe in lesbians but she did at least recognise that there were gay men, and what is the b/s about a "mystical, magical race"? No-one sensible thinks that they are a different race, or magical in any way.

We can ignore "what people think". But "what we know" still points to not letting kids choose their own gender at that age. Even veiled in a homophobic rant, some news still has a ring of truth.

I agree with the general consensus on the issue at hand but I couldn't ignore the homophobic rant.

I think it's pretty damned idiotic to have a mental disorder (in this case a gender identity disorder) but instead of treating the disorder giving in to it by changing one's physiology.
