Yes, full legalization everywhere.
Marriage is a unity of love. There's never been a set definition of marriage as being only between a man and woman. The "marriage is a unity between a man and woman" quote was another famously made up right-wing rhetorical device designed to trick the American people. Countless periods of history allowed for same sex marriages, including early Christianity.

Give it to the states.

The main reason gay marriage is not legal in the US is because of all of the hardliners that put cash in the pockets of those running for public positions. I think that one day gay's will be allowed to marry.

I could live with either option one or option five (assuming that in the case of option five, marriage as a term is taken completely out of law and therefore is technically legalized everywhere anyway). Option three is a workable short-term compromise, but then there're problems with the Full Faith and Credit Clause.

I would like to see how two gays you will never meet, getting married is negatively impacting anyone. Therefore it should be legalized and kick the government to the curb.

The government mustn't interfere with the churches. That's something that we sometimes fail to remember. We are often--rightly--quick to condemn the church's encroachment into government, but not as quick to condemn the opposite.
Therefore, letting gays get married is each individual church's decision. All the legal benefits of marriage must be extended to all people, however.

In this regard, I heavily gravitate toward Option #5, because I see religious influence in governmental affairs that I'd really rather not be there. But, at any rate, legalizing gay marriage (as opposed to civil unions) would not force any church's hand.
