Two weeks ago, while on a city bus, loaded down with packages, as a white man vacated a aisle seat, the burly white man occupying the window seat, straddles both seats, to prevent me sitting down.
Oh, racism is alive and well, and not just in Houston, Texas...it's everywhere, including Chicago and NYC.

I think if is fair for many people to say they intend to not to be racists, I think many people say simply "I'm not racist" and that closes the door on self examination all the way down to what are unconscious ways of reacting, thinking and feeling. We need to maintain vigilance in self examining and not close doors.
