How many of us have had this thought....

We are driving by ourselves, and think, with one swerve to the right I could end my life right now, I am in control.

But are we really? Do we ever take that swerve? Sure we would affirm that we are in control, but then again the "I" who has gained control has now been killed and therefore does not exist in this realm.

Yet if we do not swerve we further intrench the idea that "I" am not in control but rather "they" are in control of me. Because really "they" are just all reasons why I cannot go through with my choice.

An interesting paradox.

Actually, Jimmy, I've thought that too. Not while driving (can't yet) but while doing other dangerous activities. I do scuba, snorkel, shooting, rappelling and I'm what's left today of cowboys....mostly, living on a farm, knowing how to ride, dealing with cows (omg), and lassoing...boring....BUT, during all of this, I'm thinking, "You know, I could really die right now. Like actually never come back." Good thing I DON'T, but you're right, the thoughts are always there.

Oh, and heights. :D
