WASHINGTON (AFP) — George W. Bush hopes history will see him as a president who liberated millions of Iraqis and Afghans, who worked towards peace and who never sold his soul for political ends.

"I'd like to be a president (known) as somebody who liberated 50 million people and helped achieve peace," Bush said in excerpts of a recent interview released by the White House Friday.

I'm sure that's what Bush would like...so let's ask him, if these people are liberated why can't we remove our military forces right now? Let's ask Bush how come we're having a "surge" in Afghanistan if we have already set those people free?

Better yet, let's ask Bush what medication he's taking for his delusions? Why? Because they ain't working!

See, here's how the dialogue goes, Bush claims he set them free even though he's sending in a surge to escalate the military engagement.

No. Are you? Sounds like you are putting words in my mouth in order to bolster your deluded topic. I never said that.

No, that's how YOUR dialogue goes (ala Affrayer). Bush said he'd "like to be known as somebody who liberated 50 million people and helped achieve peace". Nothing wrong with that. In fact, if you look at Afghanistan since the US sent troops in 2001, you would notice that millions of people HAVE been liberated from the control of the Taliban. The fact that the there has been a resurgence in Taliban activity does not take away from the fact that the Afghan people were liberated by our military.

In addition, the reason for sending more troops would be the same reason that Obama says he would do it - - TO HUNT AL QAEDA and to make sure that the balance of power doesn't tip back into the Taliban's direction.

I didn't say that. Once again, you are putting words in my mouth, and it seems that it is the only way you can make your pointless points. Try reading anothers comments without spinning them for a change.

Well, Bush did appoint homosexuals and a lot of people did not say anything about it, including pastors who said it about Clinton. To me it doesn't matter which party. Appointing homosexuals etc is wrong when there are qualified normal family people.
