You need to look more closely at the Patriot act. There are several portions of it which are unconstitutional.

If there is any valuable difference between a monarchist and an American, it lies in the theory that the American can decide for himself what is patriotic and what isn't. I claim that difference. Don't count on Messiah Obama to do much reversing of the Bush regime's unconstitutional actions, especially since most of them were passed into law by Congress.

The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. "I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up." The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation. "Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves." |

There will be some Democrats voting to block the changes and some Republicans voting to make the changes.

"Moreover, I am cognizant of the interrelatedness of all communities and states...Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Never again can we afford to live with the narrow, provincial "outside agitator" idea. Anyone who lives inside the United States can never be considered an outsider anywhere within its bounds." ~Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. |

H. R. 3162
The Act passed in the Senate by a vote of 98 to 1, and in the House by a vote of 357 to 66. In the Senate, all but two dems (47) voted for the measure. In the House, 145 dems voted for the measure. 62 voted against along with 3 reps. Therefore, with all due respect, his second sentance is indeed true. Ignoreing documented history doesn't help your argument. There is no excuse for voting for a bill you haven't read. Senate Vote Roll Call on U.S. Patriot Act 2001 2006
