True enough...and WHO said it?

Well you said it:
"...so I, for one, am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until after his inauguration." If you notice, Onama disagrees with you and is already forming his "economic" committee and holding press conferences. Is it enough?

I knew better because I was familiar with his travesty of a term as Texas governor.

Hell, Bush failed at two businesses before that as well as school. As far as I can tell, Bush has failed at everything in his life except partying. But there is a problem with this, what has Obama succeeded with. We know he was a community organizer but what did he do? Has he ever made a payroll?

To clarify, I was talking about speculation before he's even sworn in.

To clarify, can Obama wait until he's sworn in before he acts?

Clinton left a solid economy and a country at peace. Bush is leaving a sh*t pile. The two can't be compared. You'd need nuclear bombs...

That was when I started blogging and when I joined marchers in the biggest anti-war demonstrations IN HISTORY that took place all over the world. It didn't matter: Those neocons were determined to go to war.

Isn't it funny how little it mattered?

Well, Jimmy Carter was a little bit before the Republicans became the party of continuous foaming insanity...

And I would say it was with Carter they began to foam.

Senator Obama basically de-fanged the rightwing character assassinations against him during the election.

Or he'll be played as the biggest disappointment since "new" coke.

Yeah, and people in Hell want ice water, too...but I keep trying to tell you that they're a badly broken entity and if they haven't got sufficient imagination to roll with the changes, then they're doomed for the forseeable future to be just what Tom Davis, Virginia's GOP Representative, called them, "a white, rural regional party".
|
And I keep telling you America is a badly broken entity. The republicans have plenty of time to shift the blame for this onto Obama and the democrats. Obama beat McCain by only 8 million votes which means if the republicans can convince 4 million plus one voter that it is either the democrats fault or that the democrats are not the party to fix the problem, major shifts in the political landscape will occur. Remember Gingrich?

I can't talk sense to you if you WANT to browbeat yourself, but at least get some shreds of evidence for your profound despair, okay?

Just explain the following headline:
Will Obama extend loan guarantees to GM, Ford and Chrysler? | Car News Blog at Motor Trend
Why doesn't it say "Will Bush?"
Figure it this way, Obama's policy changes will start taking affect within a year of taking office and his budget won't kick in for another two years. However bailouts and loans can happen relatively soon.
EXCEPT THANKS TO BUSH WE'VE ALREADY TAPPED OUT THAT APPROACH! In other words all Obama can do is make speeches. Even so the republicans will mount a major finger pointing campaign.
HOW OBAMA HANDLES THAT CAMPAIGN WILL SET THE TONE OF HIS TENURE!
He simply can't afford to kick back like other president have..his presidency starts now.
