Talking Obama the Presumptive President-Elect

CNN, NBC, and Fox have called the race in favor of the Democratic candidate, Barack Obama. Now, at long, long last, we will see if he truly will bring "change we can believe in."

I'm quite pleased with the election result, but I can't say I'm too surprised.

Either way, we will now get the chance to really see if this election will bring real reform and change in America, or if we will see "more of the same."

Wait a minute. I thought Obama supporters were absolutely convinced that he would deliver this country from all it's problems. Remember the mantra of "Yes We Can" and the eternal message of "Change"?? What happened??Sounds a bit like there is some doubt in your voice on whether or not you have confidence in him and whether Obama will come through as he promised.

That is why you need to do the homework BEFORE electing a candidate. At this point, you are stuck with whatever he deems fit for this country. I predict 4 more years of the same...plus a few stimulus packages to keep the general population from complaining too much.

I will support America's new president but will also keep a close eye on his every move. I didn't trust him then and I don't trust him now, but he is the president elect and deserves the respect that goes along with the title.

Don't let America down Barack. We'll be watching you.

So you're saying that Obama doesn't have to confront the crap pile left by Bush?

Just the two wars and the crumbling economy would suggest you're wrong.,..unlike Bush there ain't no sitting back spending 50% of his time on vacation. Obama has to run run run just to keep pace with the mess left by Bush.

Sounds like you are already making excuses for Obama, and he hasn't even taken office yet. Blame it all on Bush, Bush, Bush. I am sure you'd blame Bush for getting a flat tire. Don't you get tired of it? And how will you vent after January with Bush gone? Forget I asked...I am sure you'll find a way.

New rule: no more claims that the media didn't manipulate the election.

Watching some of the early numbers, I saw where in New Mexico the numbers were in favor of McCain and yet with less than five percent of the vote counted Obama's water boys - er um the media - were calling New Mexico for Obama.

There should be a complete media blackout on elections from the moment the polls open until 5:00 a.m. Hawaii time the morning after. It's not fair to voters on the West Coast and in Alaska and Hawaii to have the winner essentially declared before the polls even close.

"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

"I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up."

The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.

"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."

Re-education camps?

You know that Y'Obama cannot take criticism
