As I commented earlier...
It's called satire, in respect to the attacks about Obama when he didn't where a flagpin.

The definition of spam is NOT a poster saying something you disagree with. Where's your sense of humor? I found the satirical title of this thread hilarious.

Nice...a satirical title for an OP that has no substance. Just how I like it.

You have a link, or is this something you came up with all by yourself??
I was watching the debate on television. McCain was not wearing a flag lapel pin. I don't need a link, anyone watching could have seen that. But I also noticed that no one is accusing him of being unpatriotic. Accusations of this type were leveled against Obama when he didn't wear a flag pin. Thus we see a double-standard.

I also thought this was kind of funny, you made my point right there!

But, again, this is intended to be satire. The point I'm making is that patriotism and flag pins are unrelated, even when it's Obama who isn't wearing one.

If you would like to discuss that issue, you may do so.

Oh, and thanks for the support, Lumara and OE.

It also came from him not paying respect to the American flag. Have you forgotten that already?

It must be nice to have the support of a mod and a forum president, eh?

Obviously this has NOTHING to do with American Politics, but will no doubt remain here. Where's the section of the forum for satirical comments, I wonder...

Who cares? Gimmicks aren't patriotism. Patriotism is as you define it for yourself. You can't define it for other people and they can't define it for you.

Well, I would have thanked them regardless of who they were...but yeah, it is. They have the jobs for a reason.
Satire is generally used to make some sort of point, and as I'm using it here to make a political point, I think it's fine here--but of course, I'm biased.
