Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. But it is not something that can be demanded from life, and if you are not happy you had better stop worrying about it and see what treasures you can pluck from your own brand of unhappiness. - Robertson Davies |

They were a militant group as well, though, which is the aspect I'm referring to.

How often people think that there were four terrorist in the BP and no one else. Most Black panthers sat around with other groups and spoke about the issues. That includes white groups. They Handed out leaflets. Did community service. Of course the crazy radical ones ended up being right. By "right" I mean their argument was Violence is the only way to be heard. As history has show they are the only ones that were. It is sad. America seems to only respond to one thing. Only listen to the sound of violence. And it sets us up for more attacks. The black Panthers By in large were good people in the 60's Angry for the way they were treated. And with good reason to be. The fact that black America did not tear this country apart after being treated as second class citizens for so many years is a testament to their patience.
