Wow, you're not judgmental at all

I sure get sick of these kinds of posts from conservatives and libertarians and people who falsely call themselves "independent" when they're really conservative that preach the following mindset: If someone isn't a money-grubbing individual who sees some new way of making money around every corner and sees dollar signs in people's eyes, they're scum of society.

I get sick of the whole "It's all about me. **ck everyone else! As long as I can get rich doing what I was taught makes money, nobody else matters! Anyone else who is doing things according to ways I disagree with, I consider less than human because they're the crap of this country, they're what ruin this country!"

Humans are greedy. The government needs to take that fact into consideration or we end up with a survival of the fittest while everyone else suffers kind of society. There are also a lot of very stupid people out there making stupid decisions. There are also a lot of ignorant people out there. This doesn't mean that they're bad people, it simply means they just aren't that smart or are ignorant--but you can't make stupidity illegal, nor can ignorance be made illegal, as nice as it would be if it were feasible or even plausible in any way.

Being able to be stupid and still survive is one of the things that make this country great as far as freedoms and rights and benefits, as messed up as that sounds.

There is no way to suddenly make stupid people smart. There is no way to telepathically make ignorant people enlightened. The answer is NOT to destroy what the American dream is for ignorant or stupid people.

If someone is making millions of dollars, they are doing well off. If they have to pay $500,000 in taxes, it doesn't hurt them--PERIOD! It does NOT hurt them in any way. Rich people having to pay high taxes to help those who are stupid or ignorant or just make stupid decisions is not going to destroy that rich person's American dream--it instead will make it more possible for others to live the American dream. Not being able to buy another two leer jets this year isn't going to hurt that overworked underprivileged underpaid billionaire.

Here we go again....it is the libertarians fault blah blah blah.
Your statement just blew your credibility out of the water.

Personal attacks against libertarians? Nice.

That is why there is a court system.

I suggest you look in the mirror before casting blame on others.

Depend on the time length.

Irrelevant. Millionaire /= billionaire. Learn some math.

Default Your Republican Economy At Work...

Here's how unclean Republicans do things:

The number of U.S. jobs paying a poverty-level wage increased by 4.7 million between 2002 and 2006, according to a new report by The Working Poor Families Project. “The alarming news is that both the number and percentage of low-income families increased during this period,” said Brandon Roberts, co-author of the report. “This was a time when we had solid and robust economic growth.

It ought to be pretty clear by now that their idea of "solid economic growth" is when Bill Gates is raking it in hand over fist...not you or I. Likewise, their idea of an economic crisis is when the so-called Investor Class--read Ruling Class--is losing money; they didn't legislate that 700 BILLION to bail out homeowners, did they?

Why would somebody in their right mind EVER vote Republican??

It isn't only the republicans. It is all of them.

It's the opposite of neo-conservative.

By the way, your list also cited debt created by Democrat Presidents. So, it's more accurate to say that both Democrats and Republicans have run up the debt.

The days of the deficit-hawk conservative - and deficit-hawk liberal - are long gone.

"I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up."

The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.

"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."

Seeing an unconstitutionally bloated federal government go to hell in a handbasket is not the same thing as seeing the nation go to hell in a handbasket. The difference is that the unconstitutionally bloated federal government is sending the nation to hell in a handbasket while cutting taxes and spending is what will help save the nation.

Poignant...

Watch this one....don't take your eye off the hands. A gadget takes 10 job hours to manufacture in the USA. The republicans ship 5 of those jobs overseas and have half of it manufactured there. Now the gadget only takes five hours to make with the rest is imported from a foreign country. Which means they doubled the productivity of the factory by shipping half the labor hours overseas. Even though it takes the same ten hours to make. Yippee!

So when you hear a republicans answer the question of what happened to the factory jobs we shipped overseas with we increased productivity and didn't need them you know what it means.

No, increased productivity means you're getting more work out of the same number of people as before, generally for the same amount of money or less. When business or government says productivity is going up, that's what they're really saying. Shipping labor overseas doesn't increase productivity when it still takes the same amount of time to make the product or the same quantity of the product.

No, it isn't "more accurate." It's LESS accurate; let's try to keep in mind the meanings of the words we've agreed to use. You're trying to sell what's known as FALSE equivalency; it's what the right specializes in, it is deliberately deceptive and I'm not buying.

I can scarcely countenance the fact that you're trying to tell me that Bill Clinton ran up the debt 1.5 trillion in eight years and our current White House embarrassment ran it up THREE TIMES that in a smidgen less time...and that's supposed to be the SAME THING?!? (Plus Clinton managed to leave office with a surplus. Remember??) I'm not in the market for that bridge.

You need to keep in mind that your kids and grandkids are going to pay that ungodly sum...

Consensus Emerges to Let the Deficit Rise - NYTimes.com

Like water rushing over a river’s banks, the federal government’s rapidly mounting expenses are overwhelming the federal budget and increasing an already swollen deficit.

The bank bailout, in the latest big outlay, could cost $250 billion in just the next few weeks, and a newly proposed stimulus package would have $150 billion or more flowing from Washington before the next president takes office in January.

Adding to the damage is that tax revenues fall as the economy weakens; this is likely just as the government needs hundreds of billions of dollars to repair the financial system. The nation’s wars are growing more costly, as fighting spreads in Afghanistan. And a declining economy swells outlays for unemployment insurance, food stamps and other federal aid.
You're looking at the big pile of poop the "cough cough" conservatives created and now the democrats have to deal with...
