The Fed now has the authority to pay interest on deposits. They are doing this now to create a bottom so that no bank will charge less interest than what they could make by parking their money with the Fed. In other words, they're making banking less competitive. Banking has it's own cartel now.

This is price fixing, plain and simple. All this talk about free markets and not wanting to prop up farm prices to protect farmers, or steel prices is a bunch of crap. These people are two faced. This is proof that industries crucial to our self defense do in fact deserve some protection. Maintaining enough people in farming to keep us from ever having to ask others for food...... same for steel.......... same for energy! The Free market is not in our best interest 100% of the time. We've been drinking the Kool-Aid for too long and average Americans have gone backwards while the Jim Rogers of the world are making billions overseas and spending it over there too. Average Joe would take an extra buck or two per hour and spend it on the necessities, not some vacation in Switzerland.

Banking has been a cartel since 1913.

Thanks for the link to the Jim Rogers video library. I'll admit I've always pretty much agreed with his economic assessments. He's a smart man. I'm just saying he's no real role model for a Patriot. He could do more to work to improve things, but is content to just game the system. He gives capitalism a bad name. It's ugly. Of course, I don't know him personally. My assessment of his character could be wrong.

You people do realize that this is headed toward a global currency and an international version of the Federal Reserve, don't you?

"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

"I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up."

The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.

"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."

So because He has been telling the truth for years and nobody listened to him except for folks like me who keep abreast of Economy.. it's his fault they didn't listen or done anything?

He hasn't done anything wrong. Going to Asia to make money isn't bad. He's still a US Citizen, so he gets taxed on what he makes.
