I find it humors that when I comment on Al Gore being a tool, everyone jumped on me about it. Yet here we are with a thread questioning McCain's credentials as a pilot and its all gravy.

That's the first time you mentioned Gore in this thread.

I remember Gore's service record. While it wasn't as "cough cough" glorious as Bush's or McCain's it was straight up....what's your point. Are you saying that Gore took out at least four American Jets like McCain did?

The point I was making, is if someone speaks ill of your candidates its a **** storm and everyone is all pissed off. Yet here we have a thread of nonsense that is very loosely based in fact and we are supposed to take it hook line and sinker.

Maybe you weren't being honest...after all Gore was a reporter who insisted on covering the war from the front lines. He wasn't a person who exploited his connections like Bush or McCain.

Your basic problem, Drakej, is that you are in the habit of pretending that there's NO SUCH THING as history. If Gore were nothing but an ex-vice president, maybe you might have some legitimate gripe. However, he's not only proven his good intentions--and a coherent policy tackling Global Warming would save YOUR ungrateful butt along with everyone else's!--but he's written a book, made a movie and gotten numerous, momentous public accolades for doing these things. Your whiny criticism is, therefore, nothing but purely partisan jealousy. And I think I was the only one to call you on it at the time; aren't you man enough to own up to your accusations??

Insane McCain has a completely documented and fully available military record: His standing at graduation, his loss of not one but FIVE aircraft, his excessive 28 medals for roughly 20 hours in combat (approximately one and a half per hour) his traitorous statements made while a prisoner of the Viet Cong...and the fact that his father and grandfather were both respected admirals. You cannot legitimately deny ANY of this historical record. This isn't propaganda, or lies or spin; these are the FACTS.

Once again, your whiny nay-saying seeks to deny the reality of the stiuation...and you need to cut it out.

Why can't you read. That wasn't in Virginia, that was in Texas, that was his first crash of which I never disagreed with you. His 3rd crash was the plane's fault from flameout. How about you pay attention and argue the actual points that your opponent is presenting. His last 3 crashes were not his fault, you can stop arguing his first crash.

In the other thread I was simply stating my opinion that Gore is a tool. That is all, he can win all the awards in the world and I will still think he is a tool.

McCain's records are sealed...something about the time he spent as a collaborator in Hanoi Hilton. The "rumor" is that he made 32 propaganda films for the Vietnamese...

In either case, why are McCain's military records sealed?
