McCain has admitted that the he could have done far more to evade the missile that shot him down. He knew that he was locked on by a missile a good 2 minutes before he was hit and in all that time he did not use one evasion tactic.
I am not saying he is responsible but his lack of good judgment and his slow reflexes played a large part in his losing 5 planes in less then 30 minutes of total combat time. He was 5th lowest in his class and the only real reason he got to be a pilot is becuase his father and grand father were both very powerful admirals. I get sick of this he's a hero crap. I know tons of military people that have done far more for this nation without any nepotistic advantages. I feel for his time as a POW but I don't see how getting caught and being a prisoner gives him good leadership experience. I want a president that leads a nation of winners not a nation of prisoners.

In his autobiography, McCain said the crash had occurred because "the engine quit," but an investigation board at the Naval Aviation Safety Center found no evidence of engine failure, the report said.End of story, go try and lie to someone else... Last edited by Affrayer : 10-07-2008 at 11:09 PM. |
