With Palins' popularity dropping like a lead balloon ( along with McCains' presidential aspirations ), what can she do to slow the descent ?
I envision a multi-dimensional approach.
1) At the slightest critique of her record by the moderator, she will claim it to be a " gotcha " question and will refuse to answer.
Gwen Ifill ( moderator ) is already being accused of a pro-Obama bias.
After all, she is of the same skin color as Obama, and she did write a book about politics in the age of Obama. If that doesn't scream media bias, nothing does.

Right out of the gate, she said that her answers would be non-responsive.
And she was correct.

2) When Biden points out Palins' positions on the issues, she will claim gender discrimination. This will be in some vain attempt to appeal to Hillary voters.
To late, they've already swung to Obama, and they won't be leaving.
|
Instead of playing defense here, she attempted to attack Biden with the fact that being a female brings with it unique insights into what families go thru on a daily basis.
Bidens' tragic past voided whatever gains she was aiming for.

3) Palin will find some way to bring her child with Downs' Syndrome (?) into the debate. Here she will show an exagerated amount of emotion, again in an attempt to woo Hillary voters.
|
She missed a golden opportunity. Not only was she devoid of any real emotion during the reading of her index-card responces, but her failure to show any compassion for Bidens' loss truly shows her to be an uncaring, cold bitch ; or the McCain campaign was so worried about her screwing up that she was unable to change tactics when the need was surely there to do so.

4) And obviously, she will employ the " baffle 'em with bull-scat " method throughout.
|
Well, bullscat and nonresponsive answers. I don't think that she ever gave a full and accurate answer to a single question about McCain - past/present/future.

It is all too little, too late.
Stick a fork in any McCain Presidency - it is done.
Too bad that the next woman running for President or VP will be saddled with this loser.

After this performance, the McCain campaign is - at best - treading water.
