I think that we should encourage all Citizens to run for office and serve their country.. That is what the government service was originally intended.

I don't think that the founding fathers intended that there be a RULING Class or even PROFESSIONAL politicians because they tend to serve themselves first... and their service to the People becomes a lessor priority.

Yes.

AHEM - this is another thread hijack. This thread is about Palin and when I specifically asked DID YOU WATCH THE INTERVIEW you avoided the question by posting unrelated material about Obama and Biden.

So - did you watch the interview? If you don't want to answer, that is fine, but hijacking is not. For the record, I don't support Obama, either.

Still saying that Palin is incompetent begs the question.. if you claim that Palin is incompetent then you must also claim others running are also incompetent for the same reasons .. or your argument that Palin's incompetence makes her unfit for office demonstrates that is it not real.. regardless of her interview.

I still say that the founding fathers intended Federal government representation to be by the PEOPLE.. and not with professional politicians and hacks...

Palin fits that bill and her interview demonstrated that.

TFC,

You are blinding yourself to reality out of your love for a political party.

If you dont see the difference between Obama and Palin then you really
have no clue.

Where is Palin by the way. Why was it Guliani that spoke after the debate and not the republican VP candidate.
Even McCain's handlers don't trust her in front of the press.

biden is the typical, career politican and a washington insider. at least palin seems a refreshing change. my opinion of obama went down when he chose biden.

Excuse the misunderstanding - I don't generally care what either one thinks. But on this issue we are in total agreement. Palin as VP is a nightmare scenario! Did you watch the interview at all - or are you just stickin with the gal who broughtcha?

All of those who are against Palin because of her experience but at the same time FOR Obama... are just demonstrating that their objection to Palin has nothing to do with their concerns about her lack of experience.
Bimbo?

You're right - though on the scale you give Palin also has more experience than McCain and Biden. This is not, to me, a matter of experience - it is a matter of intelligence.

How do you know they're biased if you haven't ever watched their show? Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper are both CNN reporters, and both are very objective in their reporting. You watch too much FAUX News.

Blitzer is.. but Cooper is not. But then again Cooper is a Vanderbilt who interned for the CIA and sorta "fell" into being a Journo without even have a degree in Journalism.
