Doesn't seem like a fair poll to me.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey is not a measurement of the views of all Americans, since only people who watched the debate were questioned and the audience included more Democrats than Republicans.

What do you mean not fair? Affrayer just listed the results of 14 different polls, McCain was picked in just 2 as winning.

If you read my post carefully, you will see that I was referring to the poll that Mal posted. Being that more Dems were included in the poll than Repubs, that would make that specific poll NOT FAIR.

It makes me wonder the accuracy and bias of the other polls as well.

Just go do a little searching in the news. The articles are overwhelmingly stating that Obama was the clear winner. You believe whatever the hell you want to..

Are you in the habit of not reading a members comments before responding to them?? One more time for those that refuse to read a simple comment:
The poll I was referring to was Mal's poll that he linked in his post (ie. Round 1 in debates goes to Obama, poll says - CNN.com). In that SPECIFIC poll, the sampling was unbalanced, meaning there were more Democrats than Republicans. That would make that SPECIFIC poll unfair.

The article that Mal linked shows that the CNN poll in question (Round 1 in debates goes to Obama, poll says - CNN.com) IS overwhelmingly BIASED against McCain. Do you now understand the simplicity of what I posted, or maybe further clarification is needed? If so, then feel free to read my comments again...it will sink in eventually. Good luck!

Kind of like giving you two candidates.. and then giving one 15% of the vote prior to the election and calling it a fair election.

unfortunately, some think the nail is not yet in the coffin. or the paint's yet to dry. go figure.

I worked market research at one point in my life - and I have not believed polls since then. The way a question is worded, the juxtaposition of questions, the bias of the person asking questions (or even the exhaustion) and the huge rush to find a last person who fits the final demographics and finish the damn job - let's just say that there is nothing like working in a business to give you a good idea of its warts.
