Guess what, I have a child out of wedlock and still am not married. Members of my own family have told me it was disapointing and I was not being responsible. So its a two way street, do not try and tell me that its a minority only problem.

I cannot speak for Limbaugh or Hannity, but in my opinion it is a private matter. Their is no reason to be throwing children onto the stage and using them as a political talking point. You could be black, brown, green, blue or even Evil White and I would still say its private.

I tend to agree with you on this, except the way they are using her as a prop is rather disquieting. Leave the kds out of it is the best choice - but I keep seeing Bristol waving from the stage with her parents.

Why do I have the feeling that if Chelsea Clinton had been the one with the big belly, repubs would not have backed off. Oh yeah - Rush Limbaugh holding up her picture on national tv and calling her the family dog. This was a unpregnant 13 year old whose only sin was her birth.

So I can agree it's not race - just self righteous dickheads who only excuse their own.

You know as well as I do that he was not the author of that and has made a public statement saying that does not represent his views. Along with the the accounts of everyone that knows him saying that they have never heard anything remotely racist from him.

Apparently you don't. Don't let bias get the better of you. You are trying to compare extremely violent rioters to the support of gun rights.

Some of us are empathetic and can try to imagine how it must be as a black person in America.

This article is to make you think about the different scenarios and imagine if the tables were turned. White people can do and say certain things and it's OK! If black people did and said the same exact things, there is a different reaction.

Why is it considered wrong to come to a political bulletin board with an agenda? Doesn't just about everyone?

Do you disagree that the two parties play a different sort of politics - repubs have it all over dems at creating good insults and making them stick. I think the article attributes a fair amount to race when it could be attributed to class - but I do know racism still exists, too.

Its not, but letting that agenda cloud thought with bias has obvious problems.

I think both parties are good at creating insults and making them stick. No one is saying racism does not exist, just that the things in the article are not factors of race. It is an article attempting to make things about race.

they didn't.. you are making things up.. .. and they would not because Conservatives celebrate life. Leftists feel that a baby is a punishment.. 'punished with a baby".. YO-bama said it... the only good baby is an abortion...

This whole thread is about race and is totaly ridiculous.. We know that when Obama loses we will be told it is because America is racists..

When in fact, America simply rejects a Marxist for its president.

VL, I am inclined to agree with you.

Folks on here tend to be far more dismissive and enlightened/careful about race issues than plenty of other Americans. When that curtain closes, and nobody can see how you vote, I am willing to bet all the tiptoeing goes out the window, and McCain wins.

I don't have a lot of faith that we are truly ready for a black President. This race simply shouldn't be this tight.
