Well considering that McCain is all about patriotism yeah I really do think that people would have been all over him for his wifes actions. Honestly the whole successionist party thing would depend on how far in the past your membership was. If you where in college or mid twentys or so and your 40 something now its pretty much a non issue for me. A helluva lot of people go through the "I hate the government" phase.

I really cannot speak to the whole succession thing in great detail because I have not read up on Palins husbands actual involvment with such a party.

I thought the best one was the gun one, Viola. If a white person has a lot of guns, it's good for freedom. If a black person does, it's dangerous and revolutionary.

A rather large section of the population does not want any guns any where in anyones hands.

I have never seen any racial separation regarding firearms. There is the oh no guns are evil and should be highly regulated and the guns should be minimally regulated or not at all. Nothing to do with race.
