They are "supposed" to have problems with taxes.

Of course, many of the so-called conservatives in power now really see nothing wrong with taxes.

And you think when Democrats are in power the taxes get lowered? Does the present congress see anything wrong with taxes. I don't think so. Taxes are here to stay, no matter what party is calling the shots. Of course, my understanding is that Obama has a lot more taxes in store for us if he is elected. Please correct me if I am wrong on this point.

When you get to the point that you have to pay MAJOR taxes on your earnings, then you might see my point.

The total amount McCains plan proposes adds up to more, but most of that comes from the top teir only.

Anyone who makes less then 111k a year will get more in tax cuts on Obama's plan.

and will still get a cut up to 226k under Obamas plan.

Governors are often times placed in a position that they must raise taxes. I do not think this enough to pull out the smears. She did cut spending quite allot.

Obama's plan is a ruse! We all know that if Obama gets elected his plan is going to be cast aside and Congress is going to repeal the Bush tax cuts (which was a tax cut for EVERYONE, not just the rich), which is raising everyone's taxes.

It doesn't really matter what McCain or Obama say they're going to do, it only matters what they can convince Congress to pass.

"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

"I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up."

The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.

"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."

Those 'tax cuts' will simply expire. They won't 'raise' taxes...they simply won't extend the temporary cuts that were placed some years back.

Playing politics with people's lives.....

Perhaps the 'minimum wage' that, congress always wishes to argue over, should be the amount that they themselves get paid. In doing so, they would be less likely to hang around in DC stripping us of more rights and money, as they would find it necessary to go get another job.

Getting his plan through congress will not be easy. But with no facts you are just sharing your opinion.

He would have pulled back the top tier tax rate, had this been a ruse. But he embedded in his tax plan an over all hike. And in doing that, he showed this is actually what he plans to do.

The taxes will increase from their current level: that's a tax increase.

Ah, yes, the minimum wage that keeps on devaluing the wages of the middle class because the middle class doesn't get wage increases to maintain the distance from the minimum they had before.
