McCain has chosen a running mate who will appeal to the Evangelical Christian movement. Some see this as master stroke which will also appeal to those voters who wanted Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic candidate over Obama; however, anyone who digs into Palin's background will quickly see that Palin is Hillary's polar opposite when it comes to important civil rights issues such as abortion. A member of the organization with the misleading name of Feminists for Life, Palin also has ties to the Dominionist movement, making her a poor choice, especially if one of McCain's goals was to attract Hillary supporters.
I've read a number of articles about Palin's ties to the religious extremists who would like to see our government run by Biblical principles, and I chose this one to share here because it has a number of embedded links which provide supporting evidence. The entire article can be seen at Newsvine - Sarah Palin: Dominionist Stalking Horse Quote:

And you do realize that it was the evangelical vote that helped George Bush win twice. I kind of like that Dominionism movement, since it combines Conservatism with Christianity to give us the most powerful form of government known to man. Btw, my suggestion that government overthrow women's suffrage was designed to be mandated on all women that voted Democrat or all those labeling themselves as liberals. Conservative women like Sarah Palin will get the chance to vote any time they like. What woman or man wouldn't be impressed with a strong no-nonsense woman like our veep to be Sarah? The landslide is on schedule. |

Isn't her 17-year-old daughter pregnant?

Evangelical women do as their husbands command so Palin didn't pick up any undecided womens' vote. The more these kinda neo conservatoid affiliations of Palin's are uncovered, the more rational voters will realize they have no choice but to vote against McCain. McCain blew it when he didn't choose someone smarter than him as his VP.

Yes, and they are very proud of her. Hope all is well for her baby to be. It is too bad that politics will smear the miracle of pregnancy for this young mother to be.
Palin's 17-year-old daughter pregnantDid you hear that Britney's little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, just had a beautiful baby girl? It's a Girl for Jamie Lynn - Birth, Birth Announcements, Jamie Lynn Spears : People.com

I read your sig... "Blazin' up your herb to escape the maze." Great words to live by. Try dealing with the "maze" instead of running away from it. Maybe that is the reason that you post such garbage. Added Comment: How many single mothers are on this forum, I wonder? How many mothers here have had a teen that turned out pregnant?? Would they agree with your comment?? Doubt it.
