I'm not the only one who noticed how McCain't answer the questions!
Linda Bergthold: Leaks in McCain's Cone of Silence? It was clear that McCain't knew in advance more than a few questions. It was clear he knew them all... |

Watch Warren Lie His Butt Off!
YouTube - McCain @ Saddleback Church??? When asked directly about Warren's claims that McCain was in a Cone of Silence, Warren obfuscated and equivocated. He's a right wing whore....like the rest of the pederast priests who back morons like Bush.... |

I think there was. First there is the matter of appearance. While most of those questions asked by Warren were a waste of time, in my opinion, they were still tough questions to some degree. To have had extra time to formulate an answer, no matter of smarmy the answer was, would be an advantage for it would give the false appearance of competence. Second, by knowing the questions ahead of time "faux pas" bombs could be avoided. To say that another way, one could avoid saying something incredibly stupid which is something McCain't is known for doing.

Just remember, with these types of "fixes" Bush got elected. Which is to say that something is profoundly wrong with the process.... |

I must add I liked the format if it was not screwed up it would be nice to have a policy debate with the rules of this one actually enforced.
McCain was at least very stupid to leave room for this argument to occur.

McCain did well in the debate. Going from that to "he cheated" is just a stupid leap of logic. Maybe he did, maybe not, but you have no proof either way.

Excuse me, given all the facts are you saying that you think McCain't was in a "cone of silence?"

One last point, Warren didn't give Obama and McCain't the questions before hand, he gave the themes of a few of the questions. The lie that Warren gave them actual questions just adds onto the crap pile. |

Here's an example of the leftist whining about McCain (though one could rightly argue that the McCain camp playing the prisoner of war card was inappropriate): Pensito Review Cheating at Saddleback: McCain Appparently Knew Question About Supreme Court in Advance
The answer to this is really simple: REPUBLICANS know that whenever abortion is being discussed the subject of Supreme Court judges is necessarily part of the discussion. You really can't discuss the abortion issue in Republican circles without discussing Supreme Court judges. So, "getting back" was a misstatement wherein McCain wanted to get back to the abortion issue so that he could talk about Supreme Court justices. And the reason McCain did so well is that this was a format that works well for him and an audience with which he was relatively comfortable.

The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. "I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up." The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation. "Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves." |
