Default Does Obama Support Reparations?

Quote:
"I personally would want to see our tragic history, or the tragic elements of our history, acknowledged," the Democratic presidential hopeful said.

"I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it's Native Americans or African-American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the U.S. government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds."

Honolulu Star Bulletin
So was Obama saying that he supports handing out billions of our money in faux "reparations?" What do you think?

No, that's not what he was saying. He was just tying up some loose ends re: the black vote.
New to politics?

Obama is going to get over 90% of the black vote because the Democrats always do and Obama being black pretty much already assures that. What loose ends would need tying?

That's a good question, Sam.

For me, this isn't about the 90% of registered black voters, it's about getting new voters. Besides, one can never kiss enough babies.

But registering new voters doesn't mean anything if these people don't actually go to the polls and vote.

"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

"I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up."

The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.

"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."

Offering deeds instead of words does not necessarily mean he wants reparations.

Reparations is an extremist position and would create an intensive and divisive national debate. I do not see that as a part of the Obama them at all.

The same reasons the many (if not most) registered voters don't vote: laziness; thinking their vote doesn't count; thinking that nothing is going to change anyway (they're right about that one); believing the lie the Democrats, Republicans and media tell them that they only have two choices (Democrat or Republican)...

Oh yes, I forgot about that perfectly viable Whig candidate out there!
