Why is it such huge news to people that America is allied to Israel?

I don't really think it's wise, myself, and is the source of a lot of problems in our MidEast dealings, but it's not tremendously shocking that we will pretty much look the other way at anything Israel or Saudi Arabia does.

Like he said. If it was Arabs or Iranians, or Russians caught spying, it would be an uproar. Since it's Israelis it's ok because "everyone spies". Tell me what part of that logic smells like merde?
