Facts are OIL is a global market.. the supply of oil is limited and Alaskan oil is best shipped to Asia because of their special refineries (Alaskan crude has some impurities) and because of the distances (e.g., shipping costs).

If the recent rise in gas prices is, as you allege, the government ceasing oil drilling, then this must have happened in the past year or so to explain the rise in gas prices. Please provide evidence that this is so, or your allegations are a bunch of right wing bull**** propaganda.

Republicans have many investments in alternative energy.. just go to the website of the US Department of Energy... and see the programs that Republicans have been managing. When will Democrats who control the Congress pass the legislation for alternative energy?.. in addition to the programs already in place.

The last time I looked, Democrats control Congress, Democrats can end the subsidies with simple votes in both houses.. why don't Democrats pass the bills? Why don't they end the subsidies on ethanol?
